LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has resummoned Punjab Assembly opposition leader Hamza Shehbaz in connection with a probe into the alleged financial irregularities in the Saaf Pani Company, ARY News reported.
According to sources, the corruption scandal probe has met a major breakthrough, due to which Hamza Shehbaz, son of former chief minister Punjab, has been summoned again.
The National Accountability Bureau Lahore has so far summoned a number of high profile people in the case including Punjab Finance Minister Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, MPA Waheed Gul and Shehbaz Sharif in connection with a probe into the Saaf Pani Company scam.
Previously, on May 18, the lawmaker had appeared before the NAB team in response to its earlier notice and recorded his statement, spanning more than an hour.

The Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Saeed had conceded before the Supreme Court that a single drop of water couldn’t be made available to the people of the province despite the government having spent Rs four billion on the Saaf Pani Project.
The top judge has warned that everyone will be held to account and that he will ensure every single penny of public money is returned to the national exchequer.
