LONDON: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (PM) on Accountability Shahzad Akbar is in London where he met British Home Secretary Sajid Javid to discuss range of topics pertaining to mutual legal cooperation.
Shahzad Akbar discussed matters, which are of critical importance to the PTI government, with the British Home Secretary.
Both sides deliberated on the issues that require legal cooperation between two countries, such as extradition of suspects, recovery of illegal assets, curbing money laundering and other related technical aspects.
The two officials weighed in for the provision of legal assistance for the matters at hand.

Other representatives of the British government also called on PM’s special aide and agreed to foster Pak-Britain ties on an operational level.
‘No NRO’
Prime Minister Imran Khan, yesterday, reiterated in a more accentuated manner through a video message to the nation that none will be allowed to evade accountability.
Taking an aim at his political opponents, he said, “My message is loud and clear, you (the opposition parties’ leaders) can protest on roads, in assemblies and even in Islamabad’s D-Chowk, we are even ready to provide you food but there will be no NRO, I will not leave any corrupt individual or give him relief come what may,” said the PM.
