LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Lahore today to review progress on his government’s 100-day agenda.
During his daylong stay in the provincial capital, he will preside over a meeting of the provincial cabinet. He will meet Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar to get a detailed briefing on various issues concerning the province.
The prime minister will also be briefed on the progress so far made on his government’s 100-day agenda and ongoing anti-encroachment operation in the province.
This is the premier’s third visit to Lahore since he took up office of the country’s chief executive in August.
A day earlier, the prime minister visited Quetta where he chaired a meeting of the provincial cabinet and was briefed on law and order as well as ongoing uplift projects in the province.
While chairing a meeting of the cabinet in Quetta, he said progress of Pakistan was linked with development of Balochistan. The federal government would extend every possible cooperation to Balochistan in the financial crisis being faced by it, he added.
“The federal government in collaboration with Balochistan authorities will end backwardness in the province,” he said.
Imran Khan said a comprehensive strategy would be worked out for an early progress of Balochistan in the light of proposals to be submitted by the provincial government.
