KARACHI: Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair Umar has decided to step down from his position, ARY News reported.
Sources privy to this development said that he is likely to send his resignation to President Mamnoon Hussain in the next 24 hours. The incumbent governor has already started moving his personal belongings out of the Governor House.
Mr. Umar was sworn in as the 32nd Governor of Sindh in Feb, last year.
This development comes a day after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which is poised to form a government at the Centre, decided to change the governors in three provinces, including Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Paklhtunkhwa.
Malik Rafique Raujwana is Punjab governor while Iqbal Zafar Jhagra is governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
