ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan is set to unveil election schedule for 16 seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in the merged tribal districts of the province on Monday (May 6).
According to a statement, electoral lists will be frozen after the announcement of election schedule.
Residents of the tribal areas have been asked to know the status of their registration as voter by sending number of their computerized national identity card in a text message to 8300.
The district election commission offices will remain open today (Saturday) and Sunday for any rectification in the registration of voters.

Last month, the electoral body had appointed district returning officers (DROs) and returning officers (ROS) to supervise election on 16 seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in the tribal districts of the province.
ECP appointed district returning officers in the eight districts of the province and returning officers in the 16 provincial assembly constituencies where election is to be held, according to a notification.
Besides, the provincial election commissioner was appointed as returning officer for election on four reserved seats for women and one for minorities.
