ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted hot and dry weather in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, ARY News reported on Friday.
According to the MET office weather in Karachi to remain hot and dry today with mercury may rise upto 38°C. The city’s temperature was recorded at 27°C in morning with 60 per cent humidity.
The Met Office said that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at few places in Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.
Meanwhile, weather remained dry in most parts of the country during the past 24 hours.

However, rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Kohat, Peshwar, D.I Khan, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, D.G.Khan, Zhob divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
It is pertinent to mention here that widespread rainfall with thunderstorm across the country and a dust storm in Karachi killed at least 48 people and scores of others injured.
