KARACHI: With an aim to provide equal job opportunities, the Karachi-Electric (KE) for the first time has appointed women meter-readers in the metropolis, ARY News reported on Thursday.
As per details, the first batch of the women meter readers is performing duties in Karachi’s area of Lyari.
In a tweet, the Karachi’s sole power supplier company’s spokesperson said, for the very first time women meter readers have been appointed in KE.

The move is aimed to provide equal job opportunities and help women to contribute in the national economy and uplifting of their families.
The women meter readers have urged the women to come forward and help bringing prosperity in the country.
