KARACHI: The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has announced to operate daily flights to the cities hosting the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches this season, ARY News reported.
The national flag carrier also announced to provide travel facilities to PSL fans within the cities, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Lahore and Karachi, hosting the PSL matches.
“Get your cricket fever on with PIA! PIA is flying directly to the cities hosting PSL; Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Lahore and Karachi. So don’t wait up and book your flight tickets now!” said the airline in a statement.
Sources said the PIA will operate Boeing 777 and AirBus 320 jets from Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Islamabad during the PSL matches.

They said 170 passengers will be transported through AirBus320 and 300 passengers will be transported through Boeing 777 everyday.
Sindh minister for local bodies Saeed Ghani on Monday chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the PSL matches which will be played in Karachi next month.
Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar, Commissioner Iftikhar Ali Shalwani, the local bodies secretary, the deputy commissioners of all the district municipal corporations (DMCs) and other relevant officials attended the meeting.
They deliberated on a range of issues, including security arrangements, beautification of the city, availability of parking lots, and other related matters to ensure the smooth holding of the PSL matches in the port city.
