ISLAMABAD: The meeting of federal cabinet has been initiated under the chairmanship of Premeir Imran Khan on Thursday at the Prime Minister (PM) House.
A six-point agenda is being deliberated during the meeting wherein all federal ministers will present their respective department’s progress report, as well as the PM will also be briefed on the implementation of 100-day agenda of the PTI government.
Moreover, the approval to establish the National Skill University with assistance from Turkey is likely to be granted. The bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Japan in the education sector will be discussed, the sources informed.
The proposal of granting the authority to the Finance Minister for making appointments in the economic departments will come under discussion, the sources added.
Further, the cabinet is likely to give a go ahead to the summaries related to the induction of experts in the monetary and fiscal boards and the appointment of Major General Arif as the director-general of the Anti-Narcotics Force, sources said.
A day earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting of federal ministers and senior party leadership directing them to take immediate steps to ameliorate institutions of the country.
PM Khan reiterated in the meeting that corruption will not be tolerated at any cost and stressed that immediate measure should be taken for the improvement of the institutions.
