ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Friday taking strong notice of the fake telephonic calls using his name warned various institutions and pubic to be aware of such fraudulent calls.
In a statement, the minister took strong exception to the telephonic calls to various institutions by the crooks, using his name.
The minister said that the miscreants want to tarnish the image of the present government besides defaming him. He vowed to bring such elements to justice.
Fawad advised the masses and the institutions to beware of such culprits and ensure authenticity of any telephone call received in his name to counter these cheaters.
On August 20, Chaudhry assumed charge of Information Ministry on August 20.
In a headline-making event, the information minister was presented a garland made of dollar bills as he visited his hometown after being sworn in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s cabinet.
Chaudhry visited Ludhar in Jhelum District on Tuesday and was presented the garland by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) membr Chaudhry Maqbool Hussain.
