ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia has announced 50 scholarships for the poor and underprivileged students of Balochistan in undergraduate and graduate programmes at renowned universities of the country.
The kingdom took this step on the request of Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani.
Saudi Arabian Ambassador Nawaf Syed Al-Maliki called on the chairman and briefed him about the scholarships besides exchanging views on matters of mutual interests.
He said the fully funded scholarships would be provided to students with tuition fee and other necessary expenses besides a stipend to cater for the monthly expenses. He said the number of scholarships would be doubled next year to facilitate more students from Balochistan.
Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani thanked the Saudi Arabian government for this generous gesture to help students from Balochistan.
