ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday finalised at least two names for key posts in the federal cabinet following a landslide victory in the July 25 general elections, ARY News reported.
According to details, a day long session chaired by party chief Imran Khan has finalised the names of Asad Umar and Malik Ameen Aslam for the posts of finance minister and adviser on environment respectively.
Sources say party leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi was offered the foreign ministry but he refused to take it and is reportedly eyeing Punjab chief ministry if party forms government in the province while Chaudhry Sarwar and close ally Sheikh Rasheed are being considered for the post of federal interior minister.
On the other hand, a number of independent candidates who won on Punjab Assembly seats are expected to meet Imran Khan on Saturday to join PTI so that it can form government in the province.
