KARACHI: Minutes after the APC decision, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday said that his party too has reservations over “irregularities” in the 2018 general elections but will take the matter to parliament, ARY News reported.
“We cannot accept this electoral process (as it is) so PPP rejects it and demand the Chief Election Commissioner to resign for he failed to hold transparent polls,” Bilawal told media in Karachi.
Bilawal, who won the NA-200 Larkana seat, added that he will take the matter to parliament when he enters the august house.
About the APC statement regarding not taking oath and demanding fair polls, the PPP chief said that his party will not boycott parliament and will urge other parties too to take the issue to parliament.
The PPP chief also rejected all the rumours of an alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to form a coalition government in center and said that PPP will sit in opposition benches.
Earlier, an APC headed by Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) and attended by PML-N, QWP, ANP and a number of leaders from other parties rejected polls and vowed to start a protest movement to reject polls.
