Denly scores ton as Pakistan bowlers toil

CANTERBURY, England: Kent captain Joe Denly scored a fine unbeaten century as Pakistan’s bowlers got some overs under their belts on the final day of their rain-marred tour opener at Canterbury on Tuesday.Kent had reached 209 for four when the four-day match ended. Pakistan had been bowled out for just 168 on the first day.Joe Denly was not out on 113, which he scored off 186 balls, hitting 14 fours and three sixes.Opener Sean Dickson scored 74 before being trapped lbw by leg-spinner Shadab Khan. He faced 159 balls and struck five fours and three sixes. Rain meant not a ball was bowled on either Sunday or Monday.
