MASTUNG: At least 11 persons were killed and nine other left seriously wounded following a collision between passenger van and truck at National Highway in Mastung on Tuesday morning, ARY News reported.
The sorrowful incident took place near Ganja Dori area of Mastung, a district located in the northwest of Balochistan province.
Rescue sources said that the passenger van was moving towards Quetta from Karachi. The affectees were said to have belonged to the same family travelling to Quetta for attending a marriage ceremony.
However, identification of the affected persons was not yet known.
Dead bodies and wounded persons including women and children were shifted to a nearby hospital.

On February 6, at least 15 passengers had burnt to death, when a passenger coach caught fire after smashing into a wagon at the Indus Highway in Karak.
The dreadful road crash took place near Tabi Kho Stop as a DI Khan-Peshawar bound passenger coach rammed into a wagon, coming from the opposite side, resulting in the death of 13 passengers on the spot.
Soon after the incident, the locals reached the spot and moved four injured passengers to a nearby medical facility, but two of them succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll to 15.
In a similar road mishap that occurred on January 22, in Balochistan’s area of Lasbella, where a bus caught fire after meeting a collision with the truck, killing 25 persons including women and children on the spot.
