KARACHI: An inquiry committee, constituted by the Sindh Health Department, to probe the Nashwa’s incident on Thursday sent its report to the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, said sources.
The sources said that the inquiry committee held the hospital, doctors and staff responsible for the deteriorated condition of Nashwa, a nine-month-old girl was paralysed after being administered a wrong injection by untrained nursing staff at Darul Sehat Hospital.
The committee suggested that the Healthcare Commission should take action against the hospital over administering wrong injection to the infant, the sources said and added that the committee cited in its report that the minor girl was administered extra doze.

Earlier, the executive director of Darul Sehat Hospital, on April 16, had appeared before a committee formed by the Sindh government to probe death of a minor girl who had got paralysed after being administered wrong injection by the hospital management.
Shehzad Alam, the executive director, had appeared before the committee chaired by Dr. Jamal Raza.
The committee had questioned the director about condition of the child, and the incident that drew strong criticism on the hospital.
