ISLAMABAD: South Korea has raised quota of Pakistani manpower by 11 percent to consume maximum number of Pakistani workers in its local industries.
The plan was revealed during a meeting South Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Kwak Sung-Kyu who called on Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari.
During the meeting, the South Korean ambassador said his government had decided to increase Pakistani workers quota by 11 percent.
He told the Prime Minister Khan’s assistant that his government was taking measures to accommodate Pakistani workforce strength as maximum as they could.
It was reported that Bukhari’s tireless efforts resulted in the decision of South Korea to increase manpower of Pakistani workers.

The Employment Permit System is another initiative which will help enlarge the size of Pakistani workforce in the Korean’s job market in the future, Sung-Kyu told the adviser.
The South Korean envoy appreciated the expertise of Pakistani workers for their language proficiency, integrity and diligence.
Kwak Sung-Kyu also extended an invitation to Bukhari to visit South Korea which, according to him, would eventually lead to more prospects for Pakistani workers in terms of employment.
According to Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment’s statistics, previously, Pakistan could only import 900 workforce to Korea which had now increased to over 1,000.
