LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday adjourned hearing into bail plea filed by Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and Fawad Hassan Fawad, until tomorrow.
A two-judge bench comprising Justice Malik Shahzad and Justice Mirza Waqas resumed the hearing into the bail petitions that was adjourned yesterday.
The court asked that how one can determine that a nullah near Ramzan Sugar Mills was constructed to facilitate the adjoining populace or was to serve the personal purpose.
Shehbaz’s counsel to this, replied to the court by saying that, the project was green-lightened by the then Punjab government, after reviewing feasibility report.

The bench asked, opposition leader’s counsel to present his supporting arguments over feasibility and approval of the scheme from the cabinet.
Detailing the assets’ details of Fawad Hassan Fawad, the NAB prosecutor said, he owns a Plaza in Rawalpindi worth rupees 5 billion, while also operating 14 ‘benami’ bank accounts.
“He was arrested over charges of assets beyond means,” the NAB prosecutor apprised the court.
The court summoned NAB’s counsel to plead the case against bail of the accused tomorrow after the counsel of Fawad Hassan Fawad completed his arguments in the case.
