LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan on Thursday chaired a meeting for organizing the proposed “Voice of Punjab program” to encourage aspiring singers, ARY News reported.
The meeting conducted at Al Hamra Arts Council reviewed the proposals presented on different aspects of the ‘Voice of Punjab’ program in detail.
According to a statement released from DGPR Punjab, the meeting decided that, in the first phase, auditions would be taken in divisional art councils of Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan whereas auditions of artists of Lahore division would be held in Al Hamra arts council.
Al Hamra will also hold the grand finale of the event.
Arrangements would be made to telecast these programs on state television. Commendatory certificates, shields and cash prizes would be distributed among the successful singers.
The singers will also be facilitated for release
Chairman Lahore Arts Council Tauqeer Nasir, Secretary Information & Culture Ahmed Bilal Butt, Additional Secretary Ishrat Niazi, Executive Director Punjab Arts Council Saman Rai, Director (Operations) Ibrar Alam Siddiqui, Coordinator Lahore Arts Council Niaz Hussain Lakhwera, Assistant Director Khurram Noveel, office bearers of PTI culture wing Umer Khayam, Ms. Ayesha, Ms. Alveena and other officers were also present on the occasion.
