ISLAMABAD: The government has prepared a list of 300 persons who have stashed their assets abroad, said Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability Mirza Shahzad Akbar.
Briefing the media while flanking alongside Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, he said Asset Recovery Unit (ARU) had started its working, adding that members of the Unit had also been selected.
The PM’s adviser said details of more than 10,000 properties have been received which are in Dubai and England.

Shahzad Akbar said list of properties have been divided into two portions, one for Politically Exposed People and one for rest of the people. He said officials from National Accountability Bureau and Federal Investigation Agency would investigate the cases.
He said a progress report of the recovery unit is being submitted in Supreme Court fortnightly.
Speaking on the occasion, Fawad Chaudhry on Friday said that notices are being issued to ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his sons for using government helicopter.
Chaudhry said that Rs10 million was taken from the national treasure for the treatment of Senator Mushahidullah Khan.
Under the ToRs of the Asset Recovery Unit, the body will be empowered to get any kind of information from any federal or provincial department and the relevant department will share the information within seven days.
The ARU through the law-enforcement agency (LEA) or any relevant department may seek such assistance and information including but not limited to bank accounts, records of companies, revenue records, travel record or data from the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA).
On Sep 5, Mr. Chaudhry had announced that a unit had been established at the PM House for coordination in measures for bringing back looted money from abroad.
The unit comprises officials from National Accountability Bureau and Federal Investigation Agency.
