ISLAMABAD: Voting has begun to elect the 13th President of the Country today.
While the assemblies are filled with parliamentarians ready to cast their vote, twitter, on the other hand, is flooded with the people’s opinion over who truly deserves the presidential seat.
Ruling party Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf’s Dr. Arif Alvi is a clear favorite as twitterati are not holding back in supporting their favorite candidate.
Dr. Alvi faces Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, fielded by the opposition parties led by the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), while the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) has pitched Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan as their presidential candidate.
Some of the popular Twitter reactions:

PPP deliberately nominated Aitzaz Ahsan for President to troll PMLN knowing they won’t support him. PMLN reacts by pitching Maulana to troll PTI and PPP together.
Result: President Arif Alvi from PTI. #PresidentialElection

what a time for pmln as they don’t have any personality which is suitable for President, and they took Fazal ur rehman as their candidate. good luck pmln for future.— AQ (@Abdul_QayyuMM) September 4, 2018
Aitzaz Ahsan- #PPP , worn out tried tested failure. Contributed ZERO to PK’s welfare.
Fazal Ur Rehman-pooshal holder of #Pmln & upright supporter of a backward Pakistan.
Dr @ArifAlvi – Go google him; not enough space here to list all his attributes for PK#PresidentialElection— Saffina Ellahi (@SaffinaEllahi1) August 27, 2018
