KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf nominee for Governor Sindh Imran Ismail invited the upcoming chief minister of Sindh, likely to be from Pakistan Peoples Party, to work in collaboration for the development of province.
“We have come into the political arena with a vote of ‘change’ and we will work to bring the change,” Imran Ismail said while pointing out that his party will resolve the problems of the province in accordance with the packages that PTI introduced for Sindh.
PTI leader invited future chief minister of Sindh to join hands with PTI for the development and prosperity of Sindh.
During media talk on Sunday, Imran shared that he aims to set a new trend in his tenure as Sindh Governer in which he will not be staying at the Governor House, adding that he will only use the office of the Governor.
“We will open Governor House for the public but we have to see how it can be utilised. It can be used as an educational institute, university, or art gallery,” he added.
PTI chief Imran Khan on Saturday approved party leader Imran Ismail’s name as next Sindh governor.
It is pertinent to note here that Sindh’s former governor Muhammad Zubair stepped down from his position and sent his resignation to the president on July 28, three days after PTI emerged as the biggest party after general elections.
Zubair’s resignation was approved by President Mamnoon Hussain on August 3.
Zubair was appointed by the previous government and resigned citing “widespread rigging” during the July 25 general elections.
