KARACHI: The first special train for Eid-ul-Azha departed for Peshawar on Sunday from City Railway Station, Karachi.
Director Services Pakistan Railways Karachi Arshad Salam Khattak said fourteen bogies were attached to Eid special train and the train had earned 1.2 million rupees so far.
He said that 980 seats had been booked by passengers on special train and the train would reach Peshawar on Monday morning.
Pakistan Railways had announced operating five special trains this Eid besides offering free travelling facility for senior citizens above 65 year on the first and second day of Eid.
The fifth special train will depart on August 26 from Multan Cantt. at 7AM and will pass through Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Kundian, Mianwali, Attock City, and Hasan Abdal and will reach Rawalpindi the next day at 10PM.
