KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has felicitated Muslims in Pakistan and throughout the world on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
In a message on the occasion, the PPP chief urged people to remember their less fortunate brethren on this festive occasion, who are deprived and are shackled by poverty by sharing the God gifted bounties bestowed on them.
He also hailed the sacrifices of those lost their lives in the war against terrorism and extremism, which embodies the spirit of Eid-ul-Azha.
“On this occasion our thoughts also go to those who have laid down their lives in fighting against militants and extremists.”
“It is because of their sacrifices that we are able to celebrate this Eid. We owe a deep debt of gratitude to them,” he said.
“Eid-ul-Azha is readiness to sacrifice for a cause. Let us therefore on this occasion also pledge to strive for a cause larger than one’s own self. May the blessings of Eid-ul-Azha remain with you all,” the PPP chairman stated.
