QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly will elect new chief minister of the province today.
The election for the coveted slot will be held in a session at the assembly building in Quetta.
Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) President Jam Kamal Khan and JUI-F leader Mir Yunas Aziz Zehri are in the race for the slot of leader of the house.
Newly elected Speaker of the provincial legislature Mir Abdul Qaddus Bizenjo will preside over the session during which the next chief minister will be elected by the method of division of the house.
The new chief minister would take the oath of his office at the Governor House in Quetta at 5 pm on Sunday.
