LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi on Thursday “advised” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to either accept his former wife’s claims in her upcoming book or leave politics, ARY News reported.
Speaking to journalists in Lahore, Abbasi clarified that he has nothing to do with Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan’s book but the way PTI is shaken by the yet to be published biography is evident.
“The unrest in PTI’s camp is of the kind I have never seen before,” said Abbasi.
He advised Imran Khan to either accept the “facts” mentioned in the book or leave politics.
About a viral video from August 3, 2017, in which he predicted the release of Reham’s book before 2018 general elections, Abbasi said it was just a political prediction and termed its realisation only a “coincidence”.
“What will be your (political) future…if Reham Khan writes a book before 2018 elections,” Hanif Abbasi can be seen saying in the 2017 video.
PTI chief Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan is expected to release her biography before July 25 general elections and the book is expected to contain some revelations about PTI and its chief Imran Khan.
Reham married Imran Khan in January 2015 in a ceremony at PTI chief’s Islamabad home, but was divorced ten months later.
The hype surrounding her book release got an unexpected boost when on June 3, claimed on Twitter that he has read a manuscript of the book and it portrays PTI chief as an evil man.
Hours later, PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said that the book is “exercise to demolish only and real opposition” PTI.
Both Hamza and Fawad claim that the book contains “lies” and “defamatory content”, not only about PTI leaders but some other people related to Reham in the past.
PTI leaders are also blaming PML-N of backing Reham in the whole exercise but the party denies the claim.
