KARACHI: Pakistan’s Ali Bukhari qualified for the main round of the $5,000 Malaysian Tour No-4 at Royal Lake Club, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on Tuesday.
He defeated Zahir Shah 8-11, 11-7, 11-7, 11-9 in 40 minutes in the second qualifying round. He will now face Syed Azlan Amjad of Qatar in the main round.
Zahir Shah beat Duncan Lee of Malaysia 11-8, 11-9, 11-5, Ali defeated Gurshan Singh 11-9, 11-9, 11-9, and Zeeshan Khan won against Reymark Begomia of Philippines 11-3, 11-7, 11-9 in the first qualifying round.
Zeeshan was overpowered by Siow Yee Xian of Malaysia 7-11, 3-11, 11-8, 11-7, 2-11 in 37 minutes in the final qualifying round.
