An excellent performance in the second game by Green Shirts led to their first victory, raising a chance to end the tour with a silverware.
However, right-arm pacer Hasan Ali is unfit to play to day due to a slight injury during practice sessions, announced Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hours before the deciding match.
Pakistan had notched their first victory of the tour over the New Zealand after crushing the Black Caps by 48 runs in Auckland.
Batting first, the Green Shirts set an imposing target of 202 with half centuries for Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman.
In response, New Zealand’s top order crumbled to 64 for six under a combination of tight bowling and commitment in the field from Pakistan.
